A Pretty Sight

Just thought I'd add this picture of this church and vineyard that we see when we're arriving home from one particular direction that we often venture out in. John took this picture the last time we drove by the area. Anyway, I don't really have anything to say about it, but it's a happy place, I'm sure . . . it's a nice scene, and one that I hope everyone will enjoy . . .

Fast Fun

Well . . . since moving to Germany and the land of fast cars, Mac has talked about having his birthday party at a go kart place. We finally found a place to go and check out to see if it would be an okay go kart place to take a group of kids. I took Mac and his buddy Sam. The boys had lots of fun. It's a smaller track, but close by. Sam and his family have been to this particular place several times, so we thought we'd pick this one first. The boys took the old dirt bike helmets and were ready to go. They really had a load of fun, so it looks like we'll be planning the party soon!!

Rock Climbing Fun

So . . . Mac has been wanted to rock climb ever since he saw this super-fantastic rock climbing wall at the much talked about new BX/PX in Ramstein, Germany. Well . . . on the day of October 30th our hot water and heat were due to be turned off for 28 hours . . . until right before Trick-or-Treating on the 31st. We decided to drive the hour away, have a great American dinner and spend the night in the new lodging connected to the largest PX. We had so much fun shopping, eating and hanging out at the mall . . .oh, yea . . . and Mac had fun rock climbing!
Here's a picture that I'll be able to use for blackmail as Mac gets older! :o)

Look at the monkey go . . . he was super fast and made it all the way to the top!!

After this climb the "rope man" let Mac have one extra time going up again, because he was so super-quick! Mac was thrilled! I was amazed that he didn't do any "leaning back" on the rope in a sitting down position like I would do . . . talent, I guess!

Birthday Boys!!!

Everyone has been wondering what the big excitement was around here??? Well the two boys of the house had their birthdays this week! John turned the big 5-0 and Mac turned 12!!! Here's a picture of them both being very cute for their birthday. (Remember they share the 10th of November as their birthday . . . so that makes it and them extra special!)

Our Stairway

So . . . here's a look at our stairway.
It's nice to know that the landings are large enough to still have room to decorate them and have plenty of room to get by without stumbling!!!

More things to see on your way up!

A view of the phrase I "painted" above our wedding collage . . . I wished I had gotten the 2 lines parallel. (However, then you would have thought a professional had done it!)

The window with the faux stained glass stuck on. This was another new craft for me . . . although it looks green in this picture it doesn't at all in real life. It keeps people from seeing in, but we can see out through the border and more importantly we can open the window!

Main Entry Hall

Standing where the coat rack is located.

On the stairs above the coat rack looking into the hall and part of the kitchen.

Now I'm standing in the office looking down the main entry hall. (An ASSORTMENT of rugs meets you on the WHITE floor!)

Looking down the hallway right by the office - that will be shown at a MUCH LATER date!

Standing in the kitchen looking out to the front door with the office down the hallway and the bathroom to the left of the front door.

I know, I know you thought you would not, could not see anymore Americana in our house . . . little did you know there was more to be seen! (Who knows, by the time you see the next set of pictures - but not of the office . . . there may even be more!) I hope you're now able to look back and see how the house is all situated on the main floor . . . next time, we'll start up the stairs!
ENJOY!!!

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween!!!
As you can see, Antenna must have had a VERY Happy Halloween! She is really loved by her grandparents! Have you ever seen her coat looking so silky and shiny?? She also got quite a few treats . . . her friends Chui and Oliver would have been happy to see that! I didn't include the picture of her wearing her witch costume that's on the side of the wagon there, but Grandma even got her a costume! (She is living the life!!) I guess, that's one reason I haven't made the phone call to get her to Germany - she's treated much better with her Grandparents - she may never want to come and live with us again! :o( Oh well, soon I hope . . .
Thanks to the grandparents for taking such good care of our Antenna!!!
ENJOY!!!
