Mac and the Clown Car

Well, I know y'all have seen these cars . . . in fact, maybe you've decided to buy one since the gas prices are so high.  I just thought this one was so funny - and so very tiny that I wanted to show you the size in comparison with Mac.  Look how cute the boy is by the tiny, tiny car!  These cars are electric . . . and just imagine what they look like with 2 grown men inside - that's when it's really funny . . . but good for the environment none-the-less.

The Final Beauty

Well, there you have it . . . the final piece.  On this particular sideboard, there is also a piece that would hold plates up in a standing fashion.  I took that off for this home - since I just used exactly what was already out since it will all be packed up soon.  It will be something nice to decorate with in our new home.  This piece also has the man and the woman in their traditional scene.  I've also included a close up picture of the carved flowers that are on all the pieces.  On one of the teasing earlier blog postings, you got to see the people that are standing on the edges of the top.  Cool is all I can say.  So . . . here you have my Anniversary present!

Oh La La . . .

So's here's another of the pieces we got.  This one, let's say . . . was for Valentine's Day.  :o)  I like to think that the one scene is of John proposing to me . . . just thought was cute that way.  There are two scenes on this piece.  It's about the size of a regular door frame.  Interesting size, I thought.  From what I researched there is always a man and a woman.  So . . . that's what you see in both of these.  The furniture is made from chesnut and is stained kinda on the darker side.  Still okay with our other things, though.  (Well, I guess it would have to be wouldn't it!)
ENJOY!!!

Winners!!!

Okay my Daddy is the winner!!!  He guessed perfectly!  His guess of the chair backs was exactly correct.   That's what one of the up close pictures was.  Denise also guessed correctly, in that it's furniture!  So . . . congratulations, pat yourselves on the back!!!  We finally found the dining room furniture that we wanted.  We sold our set before we came over here with the intention of finding some antique that we wanted.  Boy, did we find it!!!  Today, I'll post pictures of the table . . . then in the following days the 2 other pieces that we got.  The furniture is from France - although the people look like they're from The Netherlands with their wooden shoes, and all.  Anyway, it's called Brittany . . . from the western peninsula region.  The furniture is carved with scenes from day to day life in that area.  I just love all the people!!!  When we first saw this kind of furniture after we arrived here . . . we knew it had to be ours.  So . . . here you see my Christmas present.  (The next ones are my Valentine's Day present and my Anniversary present!)  :o)
ENJOY!!!

A Quick Tease

I know that this is not a very good picture with the focus and all . . . but what can you expect from me taking the picture anyway?!  I just thought I'd give you a little tease and see if anyone could tell what this was??  Do you have any ideas??  Maybe I'll add another picture tomorrow . . . or soon . . . and see if you can figure it out before I tell you what it is.  You'll have to keep checking back to see if you can figure it what it is!!!
Happy Guessing!

Cool Concert

Here John, Katelyn and Mac are right inside the door with their tickets to the Taylor Swift concert in Brussels, Belgium.
The show was awesome . . . Taylor is just a fabulous performer!  She really has stage presence . . . you can tell she loves singing her songs and preforming for people.  This was the first stop in Europe and her first time ever in Belgium.
Her signature in lights - kinda cool.  The viedo they used behind her while she sang was HD and even 3D at times.  We all thought it was really cool and added to the show!  Overall a great concert!
Thanks for the tickets - Stars and Stripes!

ENJOY!!!

Lucky Girl!!!

I am one LUCKY GIRL!!!!!   I saw this in our Stars and Stripes newspaper and thought I'd see if I could win 4 free tickets!  Well, guess what???  I did!  We are going to drive to Brussels, Belgium to see Taylor Swift in concert for free!  Yea!  We'll leave tomorrow around noon for the 3 1/2 hour drive and then come back after the concert.  It will be late, but fun none the less.  In case you don't know . . . she's a young, country music gal that writes her own music - very talented indeed.  We'll make sure we give you the "run down" when we return.
So . . .
ENJOY!!!
