Just thought I'd show you proof that we have actually done something other than baseball games, baseball practice or John working! (Oh, don't worry, we've done plenty of that and will continue to do so, but this was something different!!!) After we first got here, nearly a year ago, there was an article in the Stars and Stripes about the quaint town of Boppard, Germany. It sits along the biggest bend in the Rhine River. There are lots of restaurants and ice cream stands all along the river. There are even many different river cruises available from Boppard. We saw a cool boat passing by that made us think of Uncle Chris and Deleware! :o) (Thought we'd show that to you as well!) We wanted to do a chairlift "ride" where you can take in a view of the Rhine and even nearby lakes, but we didn't get to the starting point for that, until it was closing down . . . so we'll have to take another trip to Boppard. We did get a chance to go into the St. Severus Church with its two white towers topped with black spires. We also saw some of the medieval fortifications . . . very cool! All in all it was a nice day to be outside enjoying something else in Germany besides John's work and Mac's baseball.

Hi -- these are very nice. It looks quite sunny and pretty there. It's been between 95 - 101 for the past several days here -- it is very miserable. Good luck to you all. Let me know how the baseball is going.

OH, that looks wonderful!!! I wish I was over there exploring the Rhine with you rather than sweltering through this sauna of a summer over here. It has been truly miserable for a couple of weeks. Stay in the cool mountains and hills of Germany as lonnnnnng as you can! :) xoxo
