Versailles

The last pictures of our trip to Paris . . . We spent part of a day at Versailles.  It is funny that it used to be a palace out in a country village . . . of course now, it's a palace in a suburb of Paris.   For the most part, we found it to be opulent, crowed with rude, pushy tourists and really, really in need of dusting!!!  I would say it was our least favorite destination.  But most importantly, we can say we've been there!
Mac and Katelyn with some of the tourist behind them.

A chapel built inside the palace.

What they call the "Hall of Mirrors".  We didn't even realize that we were in with mirrors because it was so dusty.  I can see that in it's day, it was beautiful, just not now.  :o(

Mac, Katelyn and Tanya.

ENJOY!!!

  1. The mirrors had been replaced somewhat recently when we were there in 1991. Didn't you go with us? I don't know how recently, except that they weren't all crackly and hard to see through. So it might have been 20-30 years or more. The tour guide was rather rude, so things haven't changed much.
What a whirlwind trip through Paris, but so neat that Kate and Mac were able to see so much!
